We are happy to announce the start of new two-year project of Devetaki Plateau Association. Its title, INHERIT, comes for "Heritage Interpretation through Digital Storytelling for Experiential Tourism Development in Rural Areas". The major objective of the project is to enhance the skills and the compatibility of our destinations, of the local entrepreneurs and organizations in the tourism sphere. We will work with our long-term partners, Martin David Clark with the community of Kato Drys (Cyprus), and the Lisov Museum (Slovakia), and we will add two new partners - Tetra Solutions (Bulgaria) and Natural Walks (Spain).
Within the project we will develop a training course - “Experiential Tourism” and we will train trainers and local tourism service providers in the 4 countries. I addition, each of us will elaborate local tracks and attractions which will be digitalized and will be incorporated in a Digital portfolio of heritage interpretation stories, heritage trails and thematic quests.
A project website and a platform will be installed where all the training materials and digital content will be available – digital map of the regions, trails, stories, and quests, as well as up-to-date information about the project progress and activities.
The project is funded by the ERASMUS + Program of the EC. Devetaki Plateau Association is the project coordinator and will be responsible for the wholesome project implementation and the achievement of results. A first coordination meeting was held on 06.11.23 to discuss tasks, deadlines and the responsibilities of all the partners within the project implementation.
